2014
Support for The Mountain Project, an ongoing project that involves tours of regional geographies with indigenous participants.
My work is the product of multidisciplinary activities including painting, video installations, performance, and socially-driven collaborations. My ancestry, Navajo (Dine’), Laguna, and European, plays a fundamental role in the postcolonial subtext embedded in the narratives of my work. I use specific geographies in the southwest region of the United States as points of reference in framing metaphors about cultural conditions, specifically land as a source of identity, conflict, and resource.
