In my work, I use walkingas an aesthetic practice that allows me to explore the body and its ephemeralnature, to study the relationship between space and time, presence and absence,public and private in order to rebuild memory. My performances take shape throughsound recordings, like participants’ narrations; texts like a notebookcontaining a record of environmental sounds or drawings made by viewers. ForArt Matters I intend to travel to Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, DominicanRepublic, Cuba and Puerto Rico in order to investigate and document, through aseries of walks, the social and political environment around artistic actionsperformed during the Sixties and Seventies.
