Roxie Carman joined Art Matters as a Program Associate in the spring of 2023. Prior to that, she was a curatorial assistant at the Douglas F. Cooley Memorial Gallery at Reed College, where she supported exhibitions including Sasha Wortzel: Dreams of Unknown Islands (2022), Sarah Gilbert: Breaking and Bending (2022), and Dark Moves: Fabiola Menchelli and Heather Watkins (2023), among others. Currently, she is assisting with a forthcoming book on Gregg Bordowitz’s retrospective, I Wanna Be Well, which premiered at the Cooley in 2018 before traveling to the Art Institute of Chicago in 2019 and MoMA PS1 in 2021. Roxie received her BA in art history from Reed College.
